Dino Abundo – Campus Missionary

Dino first came to Ontario, Canada, in 2014 as a worker. Little did he know that his life would drastically change in this country. From 2017 to 2019, Dino was in a place of desperation and hopelessness as he was actively seeking answers regarding God, and his purpose in life by attending several religious and philosophical organizations. During this period of seeking, he met Jomel, now a campus missionary, who at that time was a volunteer discipleship group leader from Every Nation Church Mississauga. Jomel was the one who introduced Dino to Christ and was patiently walking with him for that span of time, doing one-on-one.

By March 2019, after finishing One 2 One and Victory Weekend, Dino had committed his life to Christ after having a personal encounter with Him through Exodus 14:14. Dino continued to grow in his relationship with Christ as he diligently served as a volunteer in different ministries in the local church: Kids Church teacher, part of the Transition team, discipleship group leader, and singles’ ministry head. During this time, he also continued praying and asking God about his purpose in life and which career path to take.

In June 2022, through several confirmations, God revealed to Dino his calling to be a minister of the word by being a Campus missionary. With the support of his family and friends, Dino is diligently working together with his local church (Every Nation Church Mississauga) and Jomel (ENC Mississauga head) to reach out to the students of the next generation, starting at University of Toronto-Mississauga.

Join Dino and his team in prayers and support as they envision reaching out to all the universities and colleges in the Greater Toronto Area so that, in turn, students would have the opportunity to know and have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
